Nitronic® 60 (Alloy 218, UNS S21800) stainless steel round bar is a high-performance austenitic alloy containing approximately 8-9% manganese, 16-18% chromium, and 8-9% nickel, with additions of silicon and nitrogen for enhanced wear and seizure resistance. With a minimum yield strength of 45 ksi (310 MPa) and excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance up to 1800℃F (982℃), Nitronic 60 round bar is widely used in valve stems, pump shafts, fasteners, and marine components requiring superior mechanical properties and seizure resistance.
